50 Most Powerful Blogs

I am not one to read blogs often. I'm sure that in a few years they will be as popular-to a wider range of people-as online newspapers have become. There is an article that was published on the 50 most powerful blogs around the world. It is an interesting article, because it summarizes each of the 50 blogs. I haven't ever heard of most of the blogs, except for two of my favorites, Perez Hilton and TMZ.

The most interesting thing about the article is to see the trends in blog topics. I noticed that many blogs are about politics, celebrities, thoughts on mainstream media, and hobbies. These are all topics that everyone can relate to. Everyone feels the impacts of politics and media, has heard gossip of celebrities wether they are writers, actors, singers, etc., and everyone has a hobby although some may not practice their hobby often. I think that's why the 50 most powerful blogs are as powerful as they are because they can connect to a vast range of people. I would have to say that buzz marketing is used to market blogs, but in a different style than the average buzz marketing. Blogs simply market themselves.

Below is the link to the article on the 50 most powerful blogs.
